How did you get into the field?

Working with children and adolescents has been a passion of mine, and it all began during my undergraduate studies when I worked as an ABA specialist as an in-home therapist. This experience sparked a deep love for working with children with Autism, and I knew I wanted to continue making a difference in their lives. I've always been drawn to the field of education, and my Psychology major opened the door for me to explore School Psychology. Taking that path, I embarked on my career at a school district in Orange County, where I gained invaluable experiences that have shaped my journey. Today, as a Licensed Educational Psychologist, I am dedicated to helping students and families access a meaningful education. The knowledge and insights I gained from my previous roles now serve as valuable tools in my mission to support and uplift those I work with.

What is your experience in this field?

I have many years of experience as a School Psychologist. Additionally, I have served as a Board Member and volunteer with local and state level associations for School Psychologists.

What do you find most meaningful about the work you do?

The ability to connect with students and families is something I truly cherish. Each individual brings their own unique story and it's heartwarming to witness their shared desire for what's best for the students. Being a part of their journey, assisting them in accessing the necessary supports and services, fills me with gratitude.

What do you like to do for fun?

Spending time at the beach or the mountains and enjoying the company of my kids, family, and friends. I've also recently discovered a newfound love for camping, relishing the opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of various locations across the nation. I also really enjoy watching my kids be in nature, appreciate all it has to offer, and learn nature stewardship (and it gets them off of their devices so huge win!).

What is something clients wouldn’t guess about you?

My grandfather was an incredible ballroom dancer and my grandmother introduced me to diverse music at a young age. I have cherished dance and music throughout my life, finding great solace in both. One of my favorite genres is hip hop because of the rhythm, beats, and melodies. This affection for hip hop has led me to memorizing numerous lyrics from the 1990s and 2000s era, so I can probably recite many rap and hip hop lyrics on cue.
