How did you get into the field?
My passion for working with youth with disabilities began when I was in high school and began working as an assistant at a therapeutic riding program. That experience led me to pursue further learning opportunities working with children and adolescents with disabilities in schools and home-based ABA programs. The more I learned and experienced, the more I knew I wanted to continue to grow and work to improve the lives of those with disabilities.
What do you find most meaningful about the work you do?
I find that helping students make progress and improvement in a way that is meaningful and empowering is the most rewarding part of my work.
What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and going for walks.
What is something clients wouldn’t guess about you?
I used to perform as a jet ski stunt clown at Sea World’s Cirque de la Mer show.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A veterinarian.
Who is your favorite childhood cartoon character?
Rainbow Bright.
